Amazon categories – product research with AMALYZE

In this video, we want to present our product research tool “Categories” and show you how a product research analysis using Amazon categories with AMALYZE might look like.

This is how you get to the AMALYZE category analysis:

Menu > Research > Categories

On the left, you will see the category tree, and on the right, various charts. In the upper right, you can select from the following views: monthly, weekly, daily, or hourly. You can also define the time frame (date range).

  • For each product we monitor, we have the filed category.
  • Currently, we monitor more than 20,000 categories on Amazaon.de.

From this information, datasets associated with the category, its main category, or subcategories, are derived.

AMALYZE Category Analysis

Within the AMALYZE category analysis, you can quickly and at a glance identify interesting Amazon categories, for example, which categories have above-average sales with relatively low number of competitors and/or product density. This allows you to relatively quickly and easily identify products that you might want to sell or offer as a merchant yourself on Amazon.
